You're just saying that so no one else bids and you get that awesome tv200 for less than $2k and then have to spend at least $3k to get it even close to running...

The bidding on this old Lambretta exemplifies a funny foible of "human psychology". Obviously people are falling all over each other to pay $2-3K for this rusty hulk, which will cost another $4K to restore, but the same people won't pay HALF THAT for one in great condition. It's amazing!

That's what I've said for years.

Don't look at what it's going to cost you in the long run just how much out of pocket money you can afford now.

Who cares how much you pay for a house or a new car as long as you can make the monthly payments!

No faith in the human race.
