It was good, but small. Everybody was grinding their own gears; three stellas, a Bajaj, and Tom's Vespa. Other than Robert trying to kill me two blocks before University meets Hennepin, it was a great ride. In that moment I was seriously thinking about the lack of a chin bar on my helmet.
I won't be at this week's TNR - DFL SD62 committee meets on Mondays once a month, and that costs me my TNR privileges for the week. See y'all next week. |

They're just kidding. It was an elaborate hoax created by Tom and I. In face, that wasn't me on the scoot but a stunt double.
I am going on vacation this week and may not be making it tomorrow to the TNR. I don't know yet. But I'm sure someone will be nice enough to lead a ride. A lot of folks know the route by now. Right?
And remember, we accept everyone on the TNR, so even 50cc plastic scooters ridden by unfashionable professionals are welcome! If there's a slow scoot (vintage, 50cc, etc.) on the ride we usually take that into account and go a bit slower to accomodate.

Dave, here's the lowdown - we were cruising down University minding our own business, and Tom R was out in front, I was next back, and Robert next after that. Tom R turned right a little ways before Hennepin to take the back route into Betty's, and I slowed down to do the same. I had my signal on, and I was starting to turn when Robert, blinded by the setting sun, very nearly T-boned me at about 40 mph and a screech of brakes, racing by me on the right. We all had a good laugh, I upped my life insurance, and all was good.
Sounds like this week is going to be a small TNR. Hope somebody who knows the route shows up... |

Sweet. Well I am glad that no scooters were hurt in the production.... I will be there, but haven't really a clue on the route...

I'm planning on taking part in my first TNR on the 20th. I'll try and wear something snazzy. See you all there! |

Well, it's only Monday, but I thought I'd lay my chips down and say I'm going to the TNR this week. Sucks to miss the TNR - my scoot only got like 100 miles all last week. |

Maybe should do a double length ride again next week as a makeup? I was planning on going as well but got stuck at work. |
