I may still be a really fucking pokey, back of the group rider (especially off the line--how do you guys get going so fast?)

It's the Stellas, as contrasted with the Vespa PX - it's new, but it's still a Vespa. You could have the whole vintage experience, if only it dropped some pieces occasionally.

Nah, I'm just pushing the vintage buttons there. It's all about being broken in - a broken-in bike accelerates much more freely. Though I *have* heard that the reed-valve induction on the Stella does make it a little zippier off the line than the rotary induction on the PX150. That might just be a myth though. And besides, the paint on the PX sure beats the shit out of the Stella paint...

The group just happened to be a little closer together than I thought.

Well that's what I meant... I'm pretty sure the entire group was 100% stopped and staring at you two by the time the light turned yellow. :D

Yeah my PX was pretty slow stock too. Even once it was getting worn in, I was still getting beat off the line by Stellas and at the top end too. I think doing something simple like getting a stock exhaust (if you aren't particularly attached to mother nature) could make a difference. Heck just taking that catalyst off prolly dropped 40 lbs from the scooter.

Your right Uriah! The stock exhaust sucks. Well I am sure there are lots of peeps around that can help you peep her up a bit.

Probably not - the ins. guy still hasn't looked at the scoot.... and right now I'm in a knee immobilizer - which would be handy for breaking, but not so handy for the actually sitting and riding. :)

Soon - that's my mantra - sooner rather than later!
