I'm planning to send out some sponsor letters over the weekend. I have a list of last year's sponsors that I'll put up here soon.
If anyone has already contacted any of them, or if you're planning to do so, please post it here so I don't double up on them and make a pest of myself.
Thanks. |

Jo, I'm in touch with Arthouse, Greenlube, Scooterville, Scooterworks, Midwest Cycle, Arden (obviously), will be with Greenlube today for sure, Midwest Cycle....
My contact at Dupont changed jobs so we won't get that again this year.
Spikehead is talking to Betty's. Jeff is talking to Scooter Parts Direct.
I'll double check my list from last year, I think there were a few more I was going to get in touch with.
No please, no bargan Jim's, unless he's willing to donate a giant blow-up dinosaur! |

I can hit up Aerostich. Do we have a standard form letter?
I'll probably be in July in a week or two, so I could pick the stuff up then.
And I really want that 8 foot dinosaur.

I forgot Scomo. I can contact Chelsea if no one else has/is going to.
Is the letter up on the rally page?

Nope. Let me know if you want me to email it to you again...anybody else that wants it do the same.
As soon as we get logos and such to Jamie we'll put up the sponsor page...there are a few links that aren't working yet because he doesn't have all the info from me. |

I have it. Two copies, even! (I found the first after I asked you to re-send it to me... oops)
I thought I'd seen it on the rally sponsers page and thought Kevin could pick it up there. |

Bump.
Anyone have anything to report?
I have contacted Scomo, Arthouse, Roadrunner Records, Tatters, and BlueQ (who hasn't sponsored in the past but has some girly scooter-themed stuff that I thought might fit in if they're willing to share). I tried to stay away from the ones people had already said they would contact.
I sent out letters & schedules a few weeks ago, and just sent a follow-up. Response has been zero; not pushy enough? Those of you who are especially successful at this sort of thing, please share your secrets!
[edit: Shit, I just noticed Lisa already took care of Arthouse... I hope I didn't piss anyone off] |

Confirmed: Aerostich Riderwearhouse is on board. Owner/founder Andy Goldfine was at SD #2 and had a blast. Great people to deal with.

Not that I've done this before, but I would recommend direct contact with folks in these organizations. Often a letter isn't enough of a call to action and too easily shuffled aside. Schmooze em a little bit and let em know what a great community they would be supporting. |

What he said, call or visit in person and follow up with the info or visa versa. They generally need both, but really don't respond without personal contact. |
