With you taking the scooter and not a van, I think HWY 10 is the way to go.
Do you know a good place where Jason could meet us if he wants to go the extra distance?
Do you have some idea on where you want to meet by Eau Claire?
Ride safe

I will be heading SW into the cities, sounds like you guys will be heading NW to the cities. I am using the route the (Duluth Blister Run) used last year. The route and map are posted under rides.

I plan on leaving Duluth around 7-8am and pulling into the cities around 1-2pm. I plan on taking my time and if I see something worth shooting, camera, not a fire arm.

Sorry your wife cannot make it, cool that you get to ride in.

Marty,

Did you guys want to drive up to Eau Claire? It is somewhat out of your way. I have what I think is a good route planned out directly from here but it does use I-94 JUST for the bridge over the St. Croix. I was planning on getting on the highway immedialy before the bridge and getting off immediatly after the bridge.

Otherwise I could drive down to Mondovi (Which is right on 10) and meet you there. -- Say at the intersection of hwy 73 and 10. Also, have you ridden 10 before? I have not and am concerned my Stella won't be able to hack it.

-Tom

PS Jason, have a good ride hopefully we'll be able to meet up at the rally.

Will do, thanks.

I was hoping to ride in with a group, but I am tight on time. Weather calls for gusty winds. I commuted this morning, raining with 30mph gusts off the North Shore, I guess that is the forcast for Friday as well. I may be traveling slower than I thought. I was comfortable at 40-45 in the wind and rain today, anything faster I was getting blown around to much.

What are you guys riding, so I can look for you. What time are you heading out on Sunday. I will more than likely have to start back after Sunday Breakfast.

Occasional drizzle and possibly a thunderstorm before 1pm, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Areas of fog before 1pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 67. Breezy, with a east wind between 21 and 26 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
and it is a wonderful cool 57 degrees.

Looks like the winds wont be to bad closer to the cities.

Tom & Jason
I will leave it up to you people on how we get over the river.
Tom W. and I do not mind going out of the way.
So yes we can come up to Eau Claire and meet you where?
I think we will start back after Sunday Breakfast.
Did both you guys get my pm with my cell #?
The last time I will check this beard is about 9pm tonight.
So let see if we can have every thing worked out by then.
Tom W. will be on a black Aprilia 500cc
I will be on a blue 2005 Kymco Grandvista 250cc
Lets all hope for good riding weather.
Drive safe

What time are you guys traveling and what time did you expect to arive in the cities. Sorry I have not had time to really look at a map. I have twins, and they are a handful. After work I will be picking up monkies, cooking dinner and then we have a 6:45 soccer game. I do have your cell and I will call between 8-9pm, if that is ok.

Even if we cannot link up to ride in together, are you guys going to have dinner in town before registration. Maybe we could meet at some local spot to have a quick bite and then head over to the tavern.

Sounds good. I thought you guys would be traveling much later. Since we are all getting an early start, should not be to hard to meet up. Ill call tonight to fianlize plans.

Yes, twins, just turned 7 years old two weeks ago. You can thank my wife, she is a sweet heart. I did clean the basement last weekend, that was a deal I made. I am still trying to get her on a scooter.

All sounds good.

The best bridge for me to cross is going to be Still Water, just cuase I am on a Stella with 10" wheels. If you guys are going to have lunch in Eau Clair, maybe Still Water would be a good place to meet in the afternoon.

I ended up getting a room at the Days Inn by ScooterVille, no one offered up thier backyard. It will be nice to be that close anyway, less gear to.

Marty and Jason,

Marty, yes I have your cell number. I'll give you a call later tonight and we can figure where/when to meet up.

As for crossing at Stillwater, yes it is a more scooter friendly bridge but it is a bit out of the way. Marty, if you and Tom W. are up for it I am too.

I am guessing that if we head straight to the cities from Eau Claire it would be about two hours, if we go to Stillwater figure one more.

I will be on a blue stella.
