ok, i've got the diagram from scooterhelp but i'm still stumped.

I have:
4 wires from the stator to the junction block, yellow, blue, green and yellowish-orange and black stripe
2 wires going from the stator to the coil, red and black
and
only 4 wires in the harness from the handlebar switch, yellow, blue, red and white.

now blue and yellow are self explanatory.
red goes to red on the coil.
this leaves the white wire unused, and the other 2 wires on the junction block unused.

green in the junction block goes to the horn i think (i could sacrifice this if necessary)

I don't know what yellowish-orange and black stripe is for.
i could substitute the white wire for this?

please help.
the motor is rebuilt and in the bike, it has oil and fuel, I wanna scoot!

I can't tell with that info. Obviously it does not match the wiring diagrams for a stock VBB. Did someone rewire the stator? Wrong stator?

If you don't understand how the coils on the stator power the system and how the wiring harness works you won't be able to figure it out.

same stator it had when i removed the motor (running with a broken piston)

new wiring harness...

i don't really understand how the coils on the stator power the system, so, i guess i'm done. my sense is that it needs another wire from the handlebar switch to the junction block (for yellowish-orange and black stripe) and use the white wire in the harness to power the lights from the coil?

I think I'll cut my losses and bring it to a professional.

the terminals look like the first one, but the description doesn't match completely.

none of the terminals are the spade type shown on the picture for the P1673c96

where did you get it? have a link to it? You didn't happen to match to old harness to the new one, or still have the old one?
