Didn't even notice this post. Since the Motel 6 is so cheap, Michelle wanted her own room. So thanks Dave!

No problem! Now what about the ride on Saturday? Is anyone down with Grand Marias? (sp)

I'd be good with seeing how we felt when we hit two harbors. There is a good burger place in Grand Marias called "My Sisters" Still a heck of a drive on a fast road.

Are we going to stop at Aerostitch on Saturday? They are open 8-4pm and I noticed that they have Duluth Food and Lodging recommendations. http://www.aerostich.com/catalog/US/Food-and-Lodging-sp-26.html

OK, so it's all about the food with me...

Sure we can hit Areostich. How about on the way up to Grand M.? Come on Brad, you can do it. It is all about will power on the scoot. I did 550 miles in 1 day.... We will make it easy with some stops for streching and smoking....

Aerostich is good idea, lots of unadvertised stuff for sale in the factory store.
Owner is a good guy, maybe there is a market for scooter riderware for them:))

If you make GM, Sven and Ole's is another great place to eat, then Bettys Pies on the way back.

Andrew

Food and lodging in Duluth:
Luce for breakfast is FANTASTIC. Biscuits and gravy (vegan(!) or otherwise), Brie-stuffed french toast, a remarkably complete bloody mary bar... Highly reccomended.

And Fitgers brewpub for burgers and beer.

Duluth may have other good restaurants, but I can't get past those two.

Hacienda Del Sol. Muy Buenos Mexican food and a huge patio out back. Insiders tip: when they bring you the chips and salsa, ask for the hotter version which looks like some sort of strained baby food, but has a really nice kick to it.

Also, don't forget about Sir Benedicts which has sandwiches, nachos and a kick ass beer selection.

And the Blackwoods Lodge is a great place for grilled steaks and seafood. Order up a Bloody Mary which comes with a huge shrimp hanging on the rim of the glass.

Smoking? Is that me or the bike?

Lets talk about GM with the group. I'm good either way - the only thing that's stopping me is the speed on 61 (us=slow, cars=fast)

If everyone is on stellas and your Bajaj, we shoudl be able to hold a real world 55 mph. That should be fast enough for most cars. ya we can talk about it.

I recall more like a 50 mph top cruising speed in a group, but we can talk about it. If you're serious about putting on more mileage on day two, maybe we should head to Ely. Someone mentioned that that ride was slower and pretty nice.
