How difficult is it to replace the front hub assembly?

Since I've owned my Chetak, the front wheel has tugged when I apply the brake. It appears that something is out of round; whether it's the brake pad or the hub, I've no idea. I want to pull the hub and replace whatever is making the thing do what it's doing - probably should have had Bob do the work under warranty when I first owned it.

However, I want to do it now. Is this a pain in the ass or is it relatively easy?

You can do it. Just remove the front hub nut and the tire, rim and hub will come straight off. The pulse is most likely from an out of round hub. Not the brake shoes.

Make sure the hub nut is tight when you re-install it. I can't remember if there is a cotter pin or a staking nut but either way make sure that you secure it properly when replacing the nut.

How's it going Joe?
