Just wondering if you have snow and salt covered streets this December, or not, or if you even let that stop you?

Our Madison, Wisconsin area snow cover melted last week and I've been out on my Lambretta every day since then. Yesterday was a little moist requiring more care on the turns, but today was bright, dry and sunny and 44 degrees. Days are short of course, but if I have an excuse to ride somewhere I do. This is nearly perfect riding weather.

This pic is from November. I'll try to post a newer one tomorrow.

Here's one from today. It was 25 degrees F when I got home tonight. Tomorrow looks nice, sunny and a high of 41 F. Rain starts Wednesday evening and then turns to snow, so if it sticks tomorrow is probably my last day out. I'm DJing tomorrow night, so that will be a pretty cold ride home. I spin off the computer, and I'm the scootering DJ in town.

very nice ride. I haven't really been out much at all. I need to order some jets for the cold weather and I have been lazy....
I would like to get out for some rides though, anyone got a SI 135 main?

Dave

Still no snow here, though some streets got the pre-snow salt thrown down.

Matty took his new baby Sprint out for a spin the other day, but unfortunately the holiday shopping madness (and craft-class-for-gift-making madness) at Crafty Planet keeps us too busy to get out much more than that.

I'm itching to ride, but 7am when I go to work -- and 9-10pm when I leave my other work -- aren't such fun times of day.

You're right, though -- lovely weather for December! Those who can get out, especially during the daylight hours, shouldn't let a little salt scare them. :)

With no snow yet this year, there's been some good riding here. It's sunny and dry here today, so my morning "commute" was 15 miles (I live 2 miles from work). We better enjoy it while we have it - this won't last.

Yesterday was perfect again. Bright and sunny, so I did my errands on the bike. I rode back into town to DJ, then had a fast ride back in 20 F. As I took the freeway, there was some wind chill which made me wish I'd brought my baclava to wear under my helmet. Still, if that was the last ride of the season, it was a good one, and except for the draft inside my helmet, I was warm and comfy. I almost wished I lived farther from downtown.

Now it's almost time to get it ready for next year, with yet another TS1 based engine, this time an Italian crankcase to go with the Italian frame, and a long range fuel tank, and different exhaust and carb to go with the engine. Maybe a different front hub setup, but I'm used to the one on there. Then it should be good for all manner of fast and long rides.

We got snow now. I'm cursing myself for not riding the hack to work.
