I can not attend, but for those of you who do ride, I suggest that you ride out onto Nicollet Island to see the Blind Lizard motorcycle rally near the North end (upstream end) of the island. Lots of old classic stuff and a real laid back attitude. A group of scooters passing through would be well recieved.

I hope to be there but it may be tight for me to make it in time. Lots of Father's Day activities to work around for scootering today...

Geez-looeez, I looked forward to heading out today but my allergies played kung-fu with my head, Jackie Chan-style.

Hope you all had a good ride.

Yeah, we had a good ride. Went south on Lyndale, east on Minnehaha Parkway, north on Mississippi River Parkway, east across the Lake Street Bridge, north on Fairview, east on Pierce Butler, north on Snelling, west on Como, south on Cleveland, west on Kasota, south on 15th, west on 4th, south on 1st, around Nicollet Island, north on Hennepin and ended at Betty's.

11 scooters at the beginning, Lisa and Dan left when we passed by their house, and we picked up two scooters along the way, one good and one evil. So we ended up with as many as we started with.

Yeah, we rode by the motorcycles on Nicollet Island. One woman made a snide comment, and one guy tried to wave us to stop. So we confabed and decided not to stop, to just move along.

Just out of curiosity - what constitutes and evil scooter (as opposed to an evil scooterist)?

Thanks for the ride. BEA-U-TI-FUL!

Ah, yes, sorry. Great scooter, evil scooterist. We were talking about him earlier in the day. Kismet!

But a nice guy on a 250 Kymco joined up just after you and your boy turned off.

I fell behind at the first red light. Guess I'd better get my Primavera ass in gear so I can keep up!

So rather than slow everyone up, I cut out and went home the long way around. I saw quite a few scoots on the way -- the only one I remember clearly was a man on a dark-green vintage Vespa a few blocks off of Lyndale (sorry, I still can't identify models on sight yet), but I didn't recognize the driver.

At any rate, it was nice to sit in the sun & have a chat with everyone. Summer at last!

Thanks for leading this one Jeremy. Nice route.

Just remember to adjust the speed (somewhat anyway) to the slowest scoot. The Sunday rides often have a few 50cc riders that canít do much better than 40 on a straight-away.

I'm sorry, Jo. I totally spaced when I saw that we had lost people. When Lisa and Dan came along, we took off.

I didn't think there were any 50s, I'm sorry!

(and I kept it to 35 on the streets, 30 on the parkways, and...well...slightly higher elsewhere. :D

No worries, Jeremy -- after how-many months of shit weather on Sundays, it was enough just to get out and see the Scooterfolk. I did part of the Lake Minnetonka loop on the way home and that worked out just fine for me.

Glad you all had a good ride!
