Turn out last night seem good with six Stellas, a Chetak, and an ET4. The route was modified a bit and we did have a split off when some scooterist decided a visit to Grumpy's was in order. Thanks for taking the lead Egan. A great way to spend a Tuesday night. |

I ended up with 62 miles, with my obligitory wrong turn in Minneapolis. Makes for quite a haul from the East side.
Thanks for the ride. |

Well, it wasn't so much as a tweak to the route, as a decision to forgo the bulk of the River Road and all of the Minnehaha Parkway this time around in favor of visiting Grumpy's. |

I think the Grumpy's cutoff was a great idea. I also think if people want to skip that and go on the rest of the circle, that's cool too. The idea is that splitting off can happen -- it's The People's Ride!
I'm also thrilled to hear the ride went well on autopilot! |

I've got a rudimentary map of the route on that web page.
I'll be out there tonight unless it's raining, in which case I'll be riding my Faggio around Los Santos. (GTA3 San Andreas is out for the xbox!)
Also, if anyone has any trivia surrounding locations on the route, I'd love to hear about it.. |

Hi guys,
So I got my Stella at Scooterville on May 19 and have logged 505 miles to date. I've been posting on Scooterbbs and stellaspeed, but it took me until tonight to discover the*new* message boards at minnescoota - I kept finding the old message boards, and I was wondering why nobody was posting on them...
Anyway, I'm interested in getting to know the Regulars and the local community here in Minneapolis. I've been riding on my permit until I take the MSF course in July, but my experience has been nothing but positive so far. After my 500-mile tuneup yesterday I opened up the Stella for the first time ever on Hiawatha (MN55) today and had a blast...
So I think I'd like to join the ride this Tuesday night if possible. Will there be a ride this Tuesday, June 21?
Also, I think I want to do the Skooter Du 6 rally too. I'm actually contemplating Cannonball 2006 next summer...
Thanks!

This Tuesday is the Summer Solstice, the longest day (daylight) of the year. In my mind, a evening scooter ride with like minded folks would be a great way to celebrate/memorialize/acknowledge/pay homage/denote/(insert your owm adjective here)/etc, this day. Remember, there will be less and less light for all subsequent Tuesday night rides this year, so I urge those of you who haven't, and have, to ride this one. Do you remember what you did last year on the Summer Solstice? |

Haning with friends from down south. Triplet 6 year old. Wishing I was with the pack. I'll be there the next two tuesdays, it looks like.
Remember, it's a self guided, group motivating ride. Right? :) |

Thanks guys, tonight was a good ride. We started with three Stellas and a Vespa GS, and we picked up a Stella with lots of mirrors along the way...
I'm going to try to convince my 6-month-old daughter and wife to let me make this a weekly event for me.
And I logged 31 miles on the odometer counting getting there, with the ride somewhere around 22 miles. Is that right? It didn't seem that long... |
