I was at the motorcycle show this past weekend, and was intrigued by the Kymco People 50 2-stroke that apparently is coming back to the market in 2007. Does anyone have any experience with this scooter – good or bad – that they can share? I am thinking of one for my wife. Thanks!

The best modern scooter out there IMO.

People 50 is a fantastic scoot. Kymco has a reputation for building quality scoots, and the bigger wheels are a huge plus for newer riders.

I'm sure that Bob 'n Company are happy that it's coming back.

I have one – I think it’s an excellent scooter, especially for someone just starting out. Really easy to ride (with no previous 2-wheel experience, I practiced for 20 minutes in the parking lot near S’ville and then rode home to Plymouth) and absolutely reliable. I have never had any problem with it. It’s also fast enough (45 mph) that with very little planning you can get almost anywhere on it.

AND you can park on the sidewalk!

In case you're still thinking about it, Scooterville now has a People 50 in a really cool baby/robins egg/"vintage" blue. It's a really great color.

take that back Kevin. There is nothing vintage about a kymco. Seriously I demand an apology.

I've never apologized to your mom, so why should I apologize to you?
Kymcos rule!
