So, nobody knew what to say, huh?

You were all so overcome with my sincerity that you couldn't muster an answer?

I understand...

Well, if Rye ever comes back from wherever he's gone off to, he has a crapload of CWC entries to process.

Including mine from very early Monday morning for 10.4 miles in -17°F.

So, 433, it looks like you are going to have to figure out how to do this better, or concede Victory to your "nemesis".

Have a nice day, and...

Ride well,
=gc=

Patience, grasshopper.

I, for one, appreciate your last post.
The fact that no one was jumping all over your shit immediately is a GOOD thing. I would really like to see all of this crap, that's come up in the past, blow over. Time will tell.

Riding in sub-zero temps is admirable. You've done it, as has 433 and others. I cannot make this claim this year.

Ride because you want to. Ride WHEN you want to.

That's all I have to say for now.

Takin' the high road,
-K

Well, as for me, I didn't think that it was sincere, and as evidenced by your returning and baiting, it obviously wasn't.

Actually, according to Egan's reply to me, the temp at 7am was -17F. I guess I'll have to call KSTP and see if they can tell me the temperature at 5am. We'll see.

And hey, if I "lose", that's okay. We both rode on the coldest morning of the year. I just did it on a 44-year-old scooter without a heated vest or gloves.

Let's see, you both rode early Monday morning, so that likely means both at -17 degrees, in which case the prize goes to he who rode the farthest -- 433 at 11.4 mi. vs. Gary at 10.4 mi.

Here's hoping Amy will knit you that scarf so I don't have to...

Hey Gary,

Seems like you were the one who owed this group of people an apology and they pretty much owed you nothing, including a response. So man up, apologize and mean it then shut up.

I remember a brilliant pieces of writing from you started with this statement: “This really has to be my last post here... unless you folks start paying me”. I would suggest keeping your word.

She's in class right now, so it would probably take her until the hottest day of the year to finish it.

The real prize goes to the vintage rider so you may be set there. Though it does have a new bajaj engine....

Does my M-51 parka balance that out?

Even with the new Bajaj engine, 433 is using a shifter. Its up to the group how things weigh out.

Plus both guys gave their own mileage and it looks like 433 went earlier and did put on one mile above what Gary put on.

Still, I think its incredible no matter what that you two did it. I know for a FACT I don't have those kinds of guts. Heated vest and mitts or not. (Did Gary say he used those?)

It is not up for "the Group" to decide.

It is organized one guy. Rules are pretty clear and that will be the judge. As far as classifications I think there were some, shift(vintage) or new (auto).

True that.

I just wanted to point out that Jeremy had mentioned -15 as the temp at 8am, but he rode more like 5-5:30 am, and it was colder then. 5-7am was the coldest part of the day Monday at -17 degrees; am assuming that is the same time Gary rode since he cited -17 as well.

You're right. Point taken.
