First official 2007 TNR will be next Tuesday (tomorrow), March 20th 2007.
The TNR this year will be a little bit different. And a little bit same. The meetup point will be back at Lake Harriet, and we'll be starting the year with the same clockwise/counterclockwise versions of the 2005 route.
That said, we now have the traditional "solstice run" which includes both the 2005 and 2006 routes, we're seriously working on the "TNR TNA (now with added Poker Run!)" and an early season mini TNRally. There's talks of a northern ride route but it's "in development" (and likely better for the mid to later part of summer to avoid the inevitable rainstorms).
As usual, it's a meet at 6:30 ride at 7:00, start at the Lake Harriet Bandshell and more likely than not stopping at a coffee shop or other liquid purveyor. Grumpies might be a regular choice.
I plan on showing up every week that I can. And there are enough of the usual riders to insure than unless it's a massive downpour something will likely happen.
Please pass the word that these should be medium to slow rides at least in the first months, and we're very welcoming to all scooter riders.
Here is the (same old) link to the TNR web site:

True. There's no reason why someone couldn't start a Thursday Night Ride.
Just don't call it TNR ;)
Nordeast would be a great place to start/finish a ride. Psycho Suzy's would make a nice starting point. Just advoid the Tiki drinks until after the ride...

Whos to say that their couldnt be 2 TNRs. One for stellas and one for cool kids like egan and matty and john. As for me I'm not cool. I'll just drink beer in my garage.

Dammit. I'm neither cool, nor do I ride a Stella.

(note to self: we need to end the TNR's at Chris's garage. He has beer.) |

Tiki night ride should involve flaming torches and human sacrifices. also it should end at chris's garage for the free beer he provides. |
