A Pride? It was just Pride this last weekend!

(only one vintage Vespa in the parade, and that was in the contingent of Dykes on Bikes. Blue w/white sidecar)

I worked on the 50 at SV, pretty cute. Probably needs a new clutch, and a kick start spring but I got it to run pretty well.

With all due respect, I would amend that statement with "unless they plan to do a serious upgrade"

To say that a 125 motor with a DR kit transformed my 50 is a huge understatement. I don't know the condition of this bike, but if it could be bought at the right price, this kind of upgrade is certainly cost justified (in my opinion).

I think you are better off getting a 125 smallframe to start with. It takes alot of changes and parts to "kit" a 50.

But as Some dude said "if it could be bought at the right price" which would be a lot less than $1000.00. And, you have the time and knowledge to install the "kit" right.

But go ahead. The parts suppliers love that attitude! $$$$$$

I agree, Derrick. There are smallframe 125's to be had out there that might be a better starting point. As you pointed out, it's a question of the real selling price of this bike.

In my situation, I already had a nice smallframe with relativly little dollars invested. That allowed me to choose the total pk125-motor-with-kit transplant option. I still have the complete 50cc 4 speed motor (wanna buy it?).
