1979 P200e
I haven’t posted here in over a year, but I figured if I was going to sell a scooter I should start here.
I bought this scoot maybe five years ago from your friend Brooke and have ridden it every summer since. I’m starting to get fat, so it’s time to buy a new bike and start commuting that way. It’s been a great daily commuter, but has had some issues as of recent.
• The electrical has intermittent issues and I haven’t been able to really figure it out. I’ve replaced the voltage regulator (an expensive guess) without success and tried to isolate any electrical shorts. What was happening was the battery didn’t want to take a charge, but after replacing it last year the problem seemed to have gone away. I’m not sure what the electrical deal is, maybe stator? I still have the original voltage regulator, in case anyone needs one.
• I’ve noticed a leak, which I can’t find, but I haven’t spent the time looking. It appeared this spring, so over the winter.
• The bike is definitely going to need a good tune-up and some general maintenance, but overall it’s in good shape. I kept it in my living room over the winters.
I dropped the engine two years ago and added Clauss motor-mounts, which really gave the rear end a much stiffer ride, removing the old ones was not a pleasant experience. It’s got moped plates (rocked for parking on sidewalk downtown, 2nd and 2nd).
It’s sitting in my garage now and I really want to get it to someone who will appreciate it. I paid $2000.00 for it and I’d like to get $1500.00 for it. I’ll also include any miscellaneous scooter crap that is lying around my garage, including a Honda Spree with a laundry basket full of the engine parts.
I have some pictures buried somewhere on my computer, when I get home tonight I’ll try to dig them out, otherwise call me up and you can stop by my garage.

By the way, does anyone remember the infamous children-hating flame war from a couple years back? That was some good reading. |

Steven no!! That's a sweet bike, the serial number is only 7 digits off from my P200.
I'm sure Chris would remember that flame war well, would of been the day Alex first said daddy. |

And I know where you live. In the day and age of the interwebs it's not very hard to find out. Besides I'm not the one that has a problem with Gary. I don't even know who he is.

Pshaw, Gary thought he knew where I live, too. I wouldn't put too much stock in his detective skills. |
