Is the registration fee $15.00? I've gotten some responses on the press releases asking this and wanted to make sure.

Thanks --
Jo

How late can my 20-year-old girlfriend be there?

(and no, "ask her mom" is not an acceptable answer. It's funny, sure, just not helpful.)

Why would you ask us that? Seriously.

The bar is responsible for enforcing age limits.

She can wait in the hot tub, right Matt.

Yeah I don't thinkit's all age, we'll have to check with Grumpy's about her (or anyone underage) being there, but I don't want to press the issue. So I guess probably no go. But I'll ask.

We get there early before they are checking IDs. Seriously anything beyond that is bound to get us in A LOT of trouble! This is "don't ask, don't tell" territory Jeremy, you should know better than to get the club involved in a personal decision like that.

The owners are friends of mine and I have to let them know (that we likely have some people under 21) and go with what they say. I think we all know what is at risk for the bar to let in underage patrons. If they have some way they have dealt with this in the pass they'll surely let us know if we can work something out. But I will not ask for something that could jam them up in anyway. So lets take a wait and see on this.

Okay, take it easy. I asked because we DON'T want the club or bar in trouble. Last year there were some underage folks in the Triple Rock for the awards/raffle - they left soon afterwards.

I'm asking so we can plan transportation, not to try and pull something, okay?

Thanks, Egan. Please keep me informed.

i frequent Grumpy's DT, and i'm pretty sure they follow suit with other bars:

anybody under 21 is out after 9pm.

but i did find this...

Subd. 4. Entering licensed premises. (a) It is
unlawful for a person under the age of 21 years to enter an
establishment licensed for the sale of alcoholic beverages or
any municipal liquor store for the purpose of purchasing or
having served or delivered any alcoholic beverage.

(b) Notwithstanding section 340A.509, no ordinance enacted
by a statutory or home rule charter city may prohibit a person
18, 19, or 20 years old from entering an establishment licensed
under this chapter to:

(1) perform work for the establishment, including the
serving of alcoholic beverages, unless otherwise prohibited by
section 340A.412, subdivision 10;

(2) consume meals; and

(3) attend social functions that are held in a portion of
the establishment where liquor is not sold.

Not applicable here as we do not have part of the bar "exclusively" to ourselves. I think this issue is dead untill I talk to the Grumpy guys and see what their routine is.

i know you'd rather get it straight from the horse's mouth, but i'm pretty sure minnesota STATE LAW is applicable at a bar in minneapolis...[/quote]
