Anyone ever take a scooter to go apple picking?
Any place nearby that you don't need to take a highway to get to? |

Avoid highways, no. Avoid freeways, yes. I assume that's what you mean. You have a 150, you can go on highways.
Pine Tree Orchard is a nice close place. Take 61 up to 96 east (just north of White Bear Lake). Go a couple miles and Apple Orchard Road is on your left. Follow the signs. |

apple orchard people hat scooter people. Have you ever been hit with an apple trying to get away from a farmer with a grudge. Bigger bruise than paint ball. It all stems from the fact that gas used to be produced from apple pulp and that of course made farmers very rich. Then came oil. Damn oil. Farmers couldnt afford upkeep on thier scooters anymore. They started using things from around the farm to fix them. Bailing wire, coke cans and oldsmobile parts. Till finally giving up. Since that day many years ago, the sound of put put brings an anger to their eyes and growl to their vocal cords. So, please, stay away from the orchards, for your own safety and the sanity of the farmers.
True story. Every word.
Love,
Chris |

Susan and I are thinking about taking the scooters out to an orchard.
There's one or two in Afton (which has some seriously great roads) that we might try.

Isn't that really a note to everyone?
Not that it isn't good advice.
note to everyone...I typed this message one-handed while eating an apple.
True story...every word of it. |

Sorry, native Noo Yawkah here. Highway, freeway, expressway--all the same thing to me. So is a highway not a limited access freeway or something?
White Bear Lake sounds nice. What's the speed limit on 61? My bf has a 50cc Buddy, but by some dealer magic, he can suddenly go a little faster now. ;-) |

I went over this very carefully. Tried to imagine "hat" as a verb:
He hatted me.
I hatted him back.
Wanna go hatting? Or cow tipping?
Is it sorta like tossing a Frisbee at someone's skull, but using a fedora instead?
Yours truly,
Lou. |

Note to everyone, don't tip a sleeping beef cow and run in the dark with a flashlight. They can find you. |

I would like to say that "hat" was misspelled on purpose. Why you gotta be hattin?
Love,

They got night vision. It's worse if it's a bull. If it's a steer all they do is stare at the moon. |
