Buddies are very nimble. My LX 150 feels like a lead brick after riding Raymond's Buddy. The Vespa is definitely more comfy, though.
Rode over the bridge again today. Much nicer after buying real winter riding overpants. I also cut down my highway time to just the bridge--I now take 12th Ave to 90th St to Old Cedar to Shakopee and just take the 77 bridge to 13. The cross-country skiing mittens from Midwest Mountaineering keep my hands very warm even without heated grips.
Or maybe it was all the food I ate over Thanksgiving that kept me warm.
In any case, my only problem now is the wind buffeting me from passing vehicles--especially SUVs and tractor trailers. I don't know if that my Vespa is so light or that I have the full-size flyscreen, but I do get tossed around quite a bit when being passed.
