Hello all,

In lieu of (or, even, in addition to, depending on if someone else steps up to lead that ride) the Regular's ride from Pizza Luce, Mojo Willy and I are going to be leading a test run of the Rattle My Bones II Saturday Big Ride on Sunday, August 3rd, leaving the Square Peg Restaurant, 2021 E Hennepin Ave, #190, Minneapolis, Minnesota, 55413, at 12:00 p.m.

This is primarily a training run for those blockers who wish to have a little more experience under their belts. If you wish to join, certainly feel free to do so. However, you ought to be attentive to good group riding etiquette and to allow the blockers and other ride staff to do their thing without interfering.

Please show up with gas tanks full as we will not be stopping for an hour after we start. We will be leaving at noon, so be sure to arrive earlier if you want to have breakfast before we leave.

This is a long ride - you might want to bring bottled water with you.

Peace,

Joe.

So: Ride, August 3rd, Square Peg, departs 12:00 p.m.

75 to 80 miles.

Epic.

You'll want to bring that little cell-phone charger gizmo so you can recharge the Vectrix somewhere around Eden Prairie.

Hey Bob, do you guys have that tools that tightens the fork bolts on the Bajaj? I was able to get in there with plyers and a wrench but I'm not certain that it's exactly as tight as I'd like. I'd like to get over there tomorrow to redo it. Tightening the fork has made a giant difference in how the Bajaj handles.

Rochelle asked me if tightening the fork made the Bajaj drive "more like a Stella". I laughed and said, "No, it makes it drive less like a Bajaj".

Bring the Bajaj by. It's more technique than tools.

The anti-dive on a Bajaj fork rocks, much better than vespa or stella. In fact, scoot quarterly offered a primer on a Bajaj fork conversion for older vespas awhile back.

But if the fork is loose, you get this irritating shake when applying the front brake.

Four-stroke epa compliant metal bodied shifter. They were idiots to end production of the Bajaj scooter. Yes Brooke, I still love my Bajaj.
