So I took the MSF rider course this weekend, just got back. I passed and got my endorsement! Being "hard-core", I rode the Stella up county 81 to Brooklyn park's HTC campus for the class each day. After riding 13 miles on the Stella, most of the way at 50+ mph, to the HTC campus, it was strange to switch to a left-foot shifter and seat that was probably 6 inches lower, and it was equally weird after 5 hours on the motorcycle to switch to the higher seat and twist shifter on the Stella. But it was hella cool, and I got my endorsement - not before my odometer on the Stella crossed 1100 though!

Having the time of my life...

Keep the shiny side up!

So, you did not have a MC endorsement before this? Just asking...
I have been endorsed, and riding, for over 18 years. I still don't have a scooter yet, however.
So--how many other riders out there have had to get their MC endorsement in order to ride a scooter? How many of you already had their endorsement before you had a scooter?
Again, I pose these questions strictly out of curiousity.
Ride Safe!

Congrats Tom.

I'll be taking the same course the weekend after the Du. I've ridden a full year and then some on a permit (had to take the permit test all over again a few weeks ago).

Yeah, I got my permit at the start of May, two days before I ordered my Stella. It's no problem riding on the permit, but on the other hand, it feels good to get it done with, and the MSF class was a lot of fun.

Good luck!

I just went to the Arden Hills MN-DOT license place, picked up a copy of the manual, read it, and took the written test. Got the Stella about 4 days later, then about a week after that, went and just took the test (no class) and passed.
