I sorta have a route picked out already but.... The major thing that holds back the ride is having lunch at Scooterville. It's hard to come up with a cool new ride when time and distance is so constrained. Would Bob be offended if we didn't eat there and just do the games there? It is a perfect set up but I think it would be fun to ride out to Prescott or something a bit more scenic. But that also brings up the fact that smaller scoots probably won't be able to go on the bigger longer ride. Thoughts?

Bob is pretty laid back. I think he would be ok with lunch else-where. I'm going to Scooterville later today and I will talk to him about it.

The only thing I'm wondering is - will we be able to have things ready if its somewhere else? The logistics of transportation come into effect.

Where were you thinking?

Well it would depend. If we stopped at a place that had a few food options and let people fend for themselves. It's not like we HAVE to give people free food. Or if we did cook find a park and set it up.

Just ask Bob, nothing for sure.

A variant of year 1 is what I have mapped out. But just thinking....... I also want to ride around those roads around the airport and ft. snelling some more...

Those were cool I haven't been out there in a while i think you can get to MOA / ikea now. you have to take the 66 st bridge over 100 and you can take the bridge west of cedar to cross 62. could make a good thrill ride back from ft snelling to minneahaha.

Oh I like that idea! I think we should find a place with afew good restaurants and let people pick and pay for their lunch! That way its not a headache to figure out and the ride can go almost anywhere. Plus, the B-Q thing is getting old.

Thats my vote!

The scenic ride would be great! I don't know if there are any large enough venues to accomodate the group - but it might be nice to do a lunch at a single location if we coudl swing it.

I don't think free food is necessary, but gathering people up from lots of locations might create some chaos with a group that big. People shoudl be responsible enought to show up in an assigned location - but if they're not familiar with the area and are trying to stick with a group, it might get messy. Long waits, people not able to find something, etc. might lead to pissy people.

I'm sure I won't starve and that I'll have fun regardless -- just trying to imagine the amount of bitching we might have to listen to as organizers...

Idealy there would be only once place to choose from, I think Afton there are only 2 places, and hopefully there won't be a bar $1 beers. But yeah we wouldn't stop in Stillwater and say meet back in 20 minutes or anything!

I talked to Bob and he's open to new options. Matt why don't you talk to him directly as I don't know what your thinking specifically.

You've mentioned Prescott before - it's beginning to appeal to me. A nice long ride... not as many intersections.

We made pretty good time last year, even with the 50cc scoots along. It might work out fine.

Map a route out and we can go for a spin in the spring.
