Amy gets upset when the messages don't fall into the appropriate categories, so I'm moving the sponsorship discussion back to this board.
I received the following from Microsoft, Linux anyone?

It is our hope that you will understand that we receive numerous requests of this nature and can only contribute to a limited number. Our guidelines preclude us from donating directly to individuals, sports teams, religious, political or fraternal organizations, hospitals or medical clinics.

Could you please do me a favor and send links to scoots in the news. I think that it would be helpful to add some of that info to the sponsorship requests. Themes of scooter popularity growing (i remember an interview with Bob, but don't remember when, scooter people are cool (Amy and her super hot glasses), Kent seen all over town, blah blah blah....it might make us a more desireable group to give money/stuff to.
I heard back from their PR firm Thursday - they gave me the right contact info at the company and are putting in a good word for us. I have to do some actual work this morning, but I"ll be in touch soon.
I hope that they'll agree to help us out.
