Glad to hear that you're OK. Good gear does what it's suppose to do.

Had to be interesting watching the scoot pinball itself off of the car.

Here's what an Aerostich suit basically looks like:

And on a 90 degree day, open up all the vents and it's not too bad. As long as your moving...

Mine are Joe Rockets. One is my spring/fall and the other is for summer, which has a nylon mesh covering to give better airflow on hot days.

Oh, here's that image:

Good to hear you're ok. Gear=good

OK, last time: here's the direct link to the link which will access the pics. Nearly everyone in the photos is wearing some sort of 'stich.
The pic I was trying to display is #10 (orange Stella w/sidecar).
My apologies for being so inept....

Glad you were wearing the gear and that you're okay Nate. What's that old line about there being two kinds of motorcycle/scooter riders?

It's a good thing I wasn't on the wrong side of that argument a few weeks ago. Boy would my face be red. Among other things.

A blurry photo of my gear, as well as the affected arm. And a picture of the boys, because I haven't spread them around here much.

What kind of GPS is that? Is it good? Does it mount to your scooter well?

it's a Garmin eMap. I'm not sure if it's still available, but it's pretty handy. Kind of a bit slow to refresh the map when you're moving/zooming, but it doess a great job of keeping tracks and showing streets as I upload them. I don't do any route calculations or 'turn right here' sort of things with it.

There's bar mounts for the GPSen, but I haven't tied the GPS onto the scoot yet- I just have it in that pocket, which is velcroed to my forearm, so I can use it as a gigantic wristwatch. It's got the time, bearing, mileage, speed- and the current map. I think it's got some more functionality than the Geckos and stuff (ability to download maps, etc) but I'm not sure what the current replacement in their line is.

Good looking kids there nate! I had no idea they were Saimese. That's a really small conjoining part at their heads. I bet John could get them apart no problem. This one time, I had this girlfriend with webbed toes and he helped me out with that real easy. But then it got ugly. It turned out she wasn't a girl but actually a duck, but that's whole other story.
