Wish I could promise you all this will end soon. Sorry, it is just the begining.

So hereís a link to a fuzzy photo of the stator (couldnít get close enough in focus on my camera). Scroll down after getting the link. The topish left coil had stuff that looks like insulation coming out of it. My Haynes manual didnít say anything about this, or at least nothing that I could tell was related. I don't remember the one in the Allstate looking like this, but I don't remember much these days it seems.

On a positive note, it did tell me that each magnet on the flywheel should hold 1-1/2 or so pounds. None of the assortment of wrenches or vice grips fell on my feet, so it seems Iím appropriately magnetized. Whoo hooo! Something maybe went right tonight!

Hey Lisa to make it easy to follow your project how about just using one thread so we don't have to keep searching 3-4 threads. I'd like to follow the progress. Oh and good luck. I think thats just some paper insulation wrap around the the mag, not ideal but not a major problem, I think.
