I just want to point out that it's not really a FAST run just a faster longer run, we won't be going 60+mph or anything. I doubt we'll even get over 50mph. Just want to make it clear that vinos, metros, 50 Specials will not be able to keep up but all others 100cc and above will be fine, and it's not a white knuckle drive as a fast as you can ride.

I thought I posted this last night but here is the GPS map from yesterdays dry run of the country ride. This is probably the best SD ride ever.

1.7 Mb file on the other side of that link FYI

Ron dropped off a big pile of vests for blockers- I realize they make you look like a nerd, but it is kind of a highly-visible nerd. WHich has its ups and downs. One one point, everybody's going to see you, the other point is that you're already a flippin' dork on a scooter, so what's the big deal about pushing it to the next level?

He didn't bring the pink jumpsuit though. I think JD has plenty of thim in his daily wardrbe though, right?

Do you have enough for all or shoudl I hunt down some as well? I think I have a few orange ones in my attic or something. I know I have at least one.

And yes, they're dorky all right. But we're coming up on people pretty fast (okay, some of us not as fast as others, but still outside the riding formation) and it is good to be visible. Also, it helps people know that we're the blockers, not just idiots acting crazy. Hopefully there won't be any of those types, but still, nice to know who the blockers are.

Also, not that anybody in this group would drink or anything, but the legal limit went down last week and apparently (I have no hard evidence - just repeating a news story) enforcement is going up. Just something to think about...

This humble student eagerly embraces the opportunity to go to the next level of Dorkdom, master.

I'd swallow my pride, but I (happily) traded it for a scooter and a teaching license.
