Scooterville folk are encouraged to participate in this one...

The first one is probably easy.

How much does a scooter (say maybe a Stella) in a crate weigh?
What would you guess are the approximate crate dimensions?
And for the tricky one....What would you say the weight difference between that and an Allstate is?

Thanks in advance.

Well, my guess is, with the scoot weighing in at about 240, and assuming about 40lbs of wood, nails and whatnot to pack it... maybe 280lbs,

An Allstate? 98lbs, soaking wet.
(Oh, alright... maybe 20lbs lighter)

this wasn't a game. I'm serious. I want to ship a scooter (or several) someday.

I'd put money on the crates being heavier than 40 lbs. though....

The crate adds about 100#'s to a 245 Stella. I can't imagine an all-state weighs a lot less. Maybe 20-30 #'s.

The VBB weighs 186lbs dry. That should be very close to the allstate. You selling Lisa?

NO SELLING. I love my Allstate, despite all it's little flaws (and big ones).

Just looking into taking a little vacation with my scooter during the winter, and hoping one of my shippers would give me a deal. I wanted to figure out how much it would cost now so I don't get my hopes up if it is way too expensive.

Thanks Bob!

100 pounds of wood? Wow.

Hey, what if we packed it in mahogany?
