hmmm. I could probably go down to the scout shop in town and maybe get everyone a merrit badge? Something like leatherwork, or basket weaving...

Is this year the last New Ulm Oktoberfest? I read somewhere they were not going to hold it anymore due to dwindling interest.

I read that too, but I think it was some other German thing. German heritage days or something. (at least I hope so)

Not sure, but I do know that the events will be in full swing that day. Also, FWI, Schell's brewery is the home of Grain Belt, the official beer of the motherland.

BTW, how did that zippermask fit? I couldn't remember if you were a large or XL.

Oktoberfest is still on (Saturday hours 11-5 pm) Brewery tours on on the hour (between 1 an 4 pm) Hermann has not moved for like a hundred years- so we just need some good dry weather...

I'd be glad to make patches, but we may need to mail them out after the ride to get an acurate count to order.

Ok Hungry Jack, AKA Peter, I believe, I will be making a run from St. Paul. I don't know if anyone else is come to represent the TNR (Tuesday Night Ride) or not but I will be! Are there patches? Tees?

What's the best way to get there via scooter?

Dave

Ok, here's the route I've taken on my scoot a few times, including the last "Du":
Take hwy 13 west towards Shakopee.
Follow it, including when it turns south, through New Prague, and past Montgomery.
Take a right on 99 to St. Peter.
Take a left on 169 through St. Peter.
Take a left on Hwy 22 just past Hardees.
10 miles and your in Mankato w/o ever hitting the freeway.
Total time: Apprx. 2.5 hrs

Hey, Anyone that wants to come down can crash at my place. The more people, the snugglier.

Eric's looking into it, but a patch could happen; and as for T's, we sell 'm!
