Watch for irate rednecks in Excelsior!
I had to school a couple of jerks yesterday on Water street.
I was having a little issue at a couple of stop signs (my fault, had some OX gas) Anyhoo, these two guys in a convertable get pissed and honk behind me. No big deal...
So I pull off at a gas staion to see if I can dilute my problem away with the good stuff. Here they come, right up beside and start yellin and cursin. Flippin me off callin me and idiot etc. (the guy in the passenger seat no less)
I could have let it go but... FUCK THAT. I chased right behind them, the scoot seemed to know I meant business and gave me no trouble at all.
I caught them and they were still talking shit so I yell, PULL OVER.
They do. I jump off the scoot and run for them in full on KILL MODE.
Off they go with fear in their eyes! I can 't believe these pussies. Two of em!
So I get back on the scoot to chase to the next stop. Damn low end torque.
I'm riding a wheelie after them. Anyhoo, I get it together and realize I should give up the chase. (Now I'M the problem if the law gets involved)
Sure enough a little later I think I see them pulled over talking to the cops.
Time to get outta town.

That's regretable! I freaked out on this prick in a minivan after he almost killed me. I ended puching him in the face through his open car window. I felt funny about it after the fact, and the misses sure was angry at me. I understand though, you just blow your cool all over the place.

Wow. I've been cut off, run off the road, flipped off, honked at, screamed at, etc. Fortunately, I've never been hit. I usually smile and wave, the person feels like a moron and laughs or apologizes, or at least just stops yelling and starts grumbling instead. Mom's in SUVs yelling at their kids don't usually even notice they've almost killed me. All in all though, it generally ends more calmly than it started.

I'm sorry you had a crappy experience, I just hate hearing about encouraging road rage against scooterists. It's bad enough out there.

That, and I'm not very big, don't know how to fight, and can't rely on my old scoot to start or go fast in a pinch. Even if I could though, I hope I'd still find more power in keeping my cool than losing it.

Peace all!

You totally right. In my own defence this guy was intentionally being a bastard, and when confronted about it started screaming in my face and stuff. So I felt somewhat justified.

Just doing my part to "encourage" a little goddamn civility out there.
The passegner was a prick and probably drunk/pissed about the Vikes etc.
I'm not sure why everyone seems to think they can do what ever they want once they get on the road but I'll say this, you best be careful who go off on folks. Once in awhile they bite back. (If you don't run like a wuss)
Great day great ride though, I suggest takin it all in while it lasts!
Oh and before y'all go thinkin negative, the universe did attempt to make things right with me on the way home. Two great lookin females slowed down and yelled "WE LOVE YOUR VESPA". Ahh, near instant Karma...

I know you were pissed off, but you gotta be careful. If you would of wacked them, at the least it would have been misdemeanor assault and overnight in the jail to go to court the next day (or a couple of nights on the weekend). Then fines and a criminal record, which sucks worse than jail.

Or worse, they could have pounded the crap outa you, run you over, or had a gun. There's not a lot of upside to messing with assholes (especially multiple ones). Just get their plate # and move on...

I know, poor advice when you're pissed.

Peace.

If justice was served, they got pulled over for speeding or more after running from you.

Ya I know how you feel. Some people are just creeps. Brad's right, but I also think that some people just need a good ass kicking to know that they are not the only ones on the road.

It is a tough thing to do, hold your absolute anger, just don't throw some dog out the window into traffic.
