Hi All,

How hard would it to convert to a set of handle bars like this from Beedspeed.com?

You mean convert? They would know best but I think it might just bolt on, unless it's for a bike with out legshields.

Oh but the electrical would be the thing to figure out, kill, horn, high/low, lights, turnsignals, what to do with all the wires that would go to the speedo etc....

i looks to me like you'd have to loose the speedo entirely for that thing...

and yeah, it'd suck if you had to chop your legshield. unless you're already ready to rat out your stella (it is a stella you're talking about, right?)

Who the hell uses a speedo anyways? I tend to be paying too much attention to the road to actually look down to try and make sense of the twitchy little needle anyways.

Of course, my analog throttle control could largely be converted to a simple digital button, so maybe I just ride weird. Gas on, gas off, danielsan.

Yeah you'd loose the stock speed but you'd have to figure out what to do with all the electrical wires that go it, gas gauge, signal lights, etc.. You could just add a digital speedo or something or be hardcore like Nate and not have one.

Turn signals: Left Arm.
Light: Leave it on Hi
Horn: ineffective anyways
Gas Gauge: I don't know what that is

Kill switch is probably actually the only one I'd worry about. It's simple enough to relocate it to the top of your glovebox- but in a panic situation, it's very nice to have a big fat kill button right there at your thumb. (you can live without a kill switch too for extra macho points of always having to dump your bike into 4th at a stop.)

Oh yeah Stella have a thing called 'electric start' not really sure what that's about but you'd have to figure that out too.

kill switches are for wimps..

I love it! Well I think it is just a bolt on mod that you can do. The wires, I belive come up the center as before and run through the handle bars. It would be a sweet mod to do......

I wish I had a rat bike to chop out......

electric start is for nancy boys- kick start if you're feeling particularly lazy, bumpstart if you're feeling like a man.

any bike is a rat bike if you have access to tools.

I don't have a speedo and I darn near always have to bump start, does that make me a really manly man?
