Jesus Christ Gary,

I'm not a famous mofo-jernelust like yerself so it's impossible for me to put in words how the combination of jerky-boy smugness, whining, and jarhead machismo serve to illuminate up your otherwise pedestrian prose.

So you thought you'd try to spice things up with some humor and satire, eh? Gee, that sounds nifty. Lay it on us then man.

Oooo... swing and a miss! Must be the reader's fault.

<eye roll>

Pssst, here's a hint: The writer is responsible for conveying his/her message.

Vicious personal attacks? “Gunny, the scooooder guys are picking on me.”

OOH-FUCKING-RAH.

I did read your MMM stuff. (As for your status with that publication, that's between you and Victor. I do, however, consider my framing of the relationship to be accurate.) I also read your stuff on the VJMC list until your head exploded over there. I must say, at the time I thought the other listers were a bit harsh in the exchanges which precipitated your departure from that forum. Even this issue, at its core, seems to me much ado about nothing. (Wave/not wave? Who gives a fuck? Well, apparently you did...) I applaud that you’ve been able to provide for your family with the writing gigs. I’m happy to see damn near anything that calls attention to the issues of all riders, and if your blog increases traffic to Andy’s RTW.org site so much the better. But it was you who chose to shit the bed, and it was your incontinence which continued in your most ungracious explanation of the Jan. 7 blog entry here in this forum. It smelled bad Gary, it still does.

Meanwhile, stopping at Betty's on the way home from work this evening, I was reminded that as big an ass you've appeared in the last few days, anyone who can claim Mr. Foster as a good friend has to have something more to offer than the disagreeable persona witnessed here. At present I don't see it, but I'll keep looking.

Respectfully,

Mike Etlicher

Well, I guess we know how this turned out. Gary escalated to potentially assaultive.

I ride a scooter because it's fun. I like riding in a group on a warm day. I occasionally hang out with Minnescoota folks because they're interesting, good people who for the most part have really given back to the scootering community.

I don't do violence. I've seen enough of that. Once that line is crossed, I'm done. I'm done with Baron in the Winter, Gary Charpentier posts and articles. I'm really re-considering the whole ride-to-work organization and wondering who that organization benefits.

I am not even going to look at this thread again.

I don't care anymore. Frankly, you bore me. I was going to try to make amends here, and maybe make a connection, but some of you folks are so pedestrian and pedantic in your perceptions that it would be impossible for us to associate on a social level.

Drat. I think this guy has read my crappy blog.

Hey, Justin, that monkey rocks. He exudes coolness on every level.

Gary, I am not into unnessary violence. So I will not be up to seeing who has a bigger wee-wee. Who really cares?

All I gotta say is manup or go cry in your bed, I could careless which you choose.

Dave, not to be picky... but I will be anyways, so my apologies in advance ...but weren't HST's ashes shot out of a cannon? I heard that that was what he wanted.

Remember, "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro."

This really has to be my last post here... unless you folks start paying me.

Here's the thing:

Beyond what I have already done on my blog and in this forum, I really don't understand WTF you people WANT from me!

What am I missing?

BTW, Moses, I have read some of your blog, and I really like your presentation and analysis. But that is straying off the point.

I am not about to put disclaimers on the front end of my blog entries every time I decide to go satirical. FIGURE IT OUT, PEOPLE! I refuse to indulge in political correctness... it just doesn't FLOW!

Why the hell should I dumb things down in order to accomodate mediocre minds? You folks would be the first to criticize me if I did that too!

I don't ride what you ride, so you will FIND a reason to hate me.

Alrighty then.

Nobody is forcing you to read what I write. I spoke with Hunter last night, and he is getting a kick out of all this. His response was: "F*ck those people!"

But then, he always says that to critics.

To Dave: Semper Fi, Mac. What the hell do you mean by "manup"? I checked my dictionary, it ain't in there. You know as well as I that the only proper way to respond to an assault is by counter-attack.

And what's wrong with a little friendly fisticuffs? I think we really need a chapter of the East Bay Rats here in the Twin Cities. Fight Club, baybeee!
Sign me up!

So, until I see a check for fifty bucks in the mail from whoever runs this chickensh*t outfit, I am done posting here. I am, after all, a professional.

Ride well,
=gc=

What's with the pugilistic comments, Gary? C'mon, play nice before I write you a referral and send you down to the principal's office.

Sorry, no fifty bucks, even with the blog compliment. Cya.
