So scootervillain, please tell me that you have an especially good/sick sense of humor with the picture of the PGO plastic Chinese scoot with the paintshopped "Black Cat" graphics, bearing the title "Genuine Scoooter Black Cat. New for '06" underneath... If it were April 1 or if it explicitly said something like "Use only under RTW supervision" I'd think it was funny; as it is, I don't know whether it's funny or not...

You write "chinese" and "plastic" like they're bad things. My inflatable bride is highly offended and I, sir, demand an appology.

1st. PGO is Taiwanese
2nd. I think that paint scheme is kinda rad
3rd. I'd buy a PGO PMX before a Stella.

keepin' it real, stateside.

The new Genuines will be automatics and Phil likes to do theme bikes, makes sense to me.

As usual, Brooke and his vinyl girlfriend have it right. Genuine is partnering with PGO to introduce two automatics to the US market in 2006.
They're also bringing in Black Cat fireworks for the identity of this 50cc 2T, previously known as the PMX. They will also release it in a non Black Cat branded version.
For anyone else confused about the quality differences between Taiwanese and Mainland Chinese scooter product, there's a confluence of history, political science, and economics that trumps shared ethnicity.

Come on, those graphics are a little much. I mean, I like fireworks as much as the next guy, but I don't think I could ride that thing. Personally if I were to drive a billboard I'd want it to be something I really dig. Don't get me wrong. I like scooters with graphics on them, but after seeing some wicked graphics people are doing themselves, and how quality they look. That thing just looks weak to me.

Fair enough. But I'm with Justin - what's with the photoshop graphics?

The first Fireball and pink Stella photos were all photoshopped, sounds like someone is turning into a Stella Snob!

Or perhaps a scooter nazi. I suppose you're right - we'll just have to see it when it comes out. But seriously, I really *did* think it was a joke/spoof when I saw it on Scooterville's web page last night...

Does this mean there won't be a themed Stella this year? I certainly wouldn't complain if they dropped a 200 in it and released a Limited Edition GB200.
One can dream, can't they?

I though the fireball was kinda cool due to the obscurity of the product. I still wouldn't buy it though. I guess my main bone of contention is the "off-the-line" store bought custom (individuality). Is just a silly concept to me. Why wouldn't want a fresh canvas than one with paint on it?

I'm certainly not bagging on anybody who ride fireballs, the couple cats I met who had them were rightious, and thats their gig. Opinions are like asshole and I have both which makes me an asshole... i guess.

This is the photoshopped version. The production models are not yet released. I did ride a PMX in October and can vouch for it being a great performer. The details, fit, and finish on the PGO bikes are as good as I've seen on any scooter. Their other release will be available in 50cc 2T and 125 4T, of a "retro" persuasion.

Do you have more info or pics of the "retro" version?

Now that I hope is a prank. Unless a 'retro' persuasion is the Roadshow with the 90cc 2 stroke engine. I'd be the first to put down a deposit!
