They can't even keep up with a bicycle.
Pinasco, Malossi, Direct Hits, Vortex, Flatslide carbs, loud oil, Polini, expansion pipes- all things of the past- strap a few 200lb thrust rockets on.

I just hope the bracket holding the rocket is VERY secure...

That'd turn into a pretty uncomfortable probe otherwise, yes.

It sounds like there's a mechanism in place to regulate fuel flow- it's not just a "light it and let it run its course" like most of the rockets I tend to see on Mythbusters or whatever. One can make the assumption that it'll fail 'closed', so that if it did detach itself from the bracket and removed itself from the vicinity of the controls, it would close the fuel valve, and the thing would die quickly.

Of course, once anobject recieves that 200lb impulse, it'll tend to not stop immediately- but that loss of continuing power would keep it from a catastrophic failure and penetrating non-involved structures.

Just the same, I wouldn't try that thing anywhere short of an abandoned airstrip or similar.
