Congrats!

There's going to be a huge run on sidecars in the next 5-6 years. Anybody out there is welcome to consider this an investment tip.

Awesome, I have a GEMINI daughter born on the same day (many years ago). Gemini's love to give their parents double-trouble!

Good work, and congrats! Seeya with the sidecar!

Thanks! We just got home this afternoon.

I received my my first true taste of fatherhood about an hour ago - Elise poo'd on me shortly after a feeding. Before today I'd only heard stories of how that stuff can work it's way out of a diaper.

Indeed I will be taking some time off. The company I work for offers 6 weeks of paternity leave so I'll be home to help the mommy while she recovers from all her hard work.

Hats off to all the mommies out there. It's amazing what you are willing to endure to bring a child into the world.

Congratulations Jamie,

It's great to hear that she has the same world-view as a lot of people who want to poo on you too.

Did your wife sprout fangs and red-devil-eyes and scream, "You did this to me!" when your daughter showed up? If so, do you have video?

I'm disappointed that she didn't show up today because it would be a great show-stopping story for the rest of her life if she told people she was born on June 6, 2006. Some of the more thoughtful ones would get it after a bit and either think it endearing or spooky.

I was born on Halloween and have endured a lifetime of people getting into Oscar Wilde mode by saying (you guessed it), "Figures."

I've never seen a Lambretta with a side-car. I assume it's akin to putting a trailer hitch on a Ferrari. Everyone knows that Stellas and Vespas are the station-wagon of the scooter world - meant for such things.

Oh, and please tell me she doesn't resemble you.

I hope to see you at the Rally. It's been a long time.

Take care,

Joe.

All apologies for exacerbating the NSR chit chat...

I'm beginning to think that the poo is a higher intelligence. I'd heard stories that it creeps up and out the back of the diaper but the latest crept up the front. I'm now checking all sides before approaching the changing table.

I was fortunate not to get the "you did this to me bit." We entered the hospital under very favorable conditions, only to become very unfavorable as the next twenty one hours progressed to a C section. Had I actually tried to film all of that the video would have shown me getting my ass pummeled shortly after she said "shut that damn thing off!"

I was able to give Elise an intro to scootering as we passed a white P200? when exiting the Orange lot at Methodist Hospital. Obviously I would have preferred a Lammy to be the first official introduction but you have to take opportunity when it presents itself.

She does resemble me quite a bit and even has the whole obnoxious belching thing down. We are proud!
