I am REALLY thinking about investing in a trialer hitch for the mini van

Take out the back seats and you can fit two scoots in a minivan.

Lots of folks on this board have trailers (me excluded of course) maybe you could arrange some sort of beer for towing swap? I think when I talked to Motoprimo about delivery they wanted $50 which seems excessive, especially for a mile and a half. If I had a trailer, I'd help ya for a song.

I think that's a bargain for most situations. Try a tow service and you'll see how cheap that is if they'll even do it. Unless you think a drivers time isn't worth anything to sit in traffic on his way to your house, loading it up, fuel costs, it all adds up. I'd consider 50.00 a break even situation for any business, if not a loss.

Yep, I used to do it for like $25 or $30 and thought it was decent money but when it's all said and done it's really not worth it unless you have a few you can do at once.

I paid $40.

When we had the Eton, we tried to get in the mini van. Didn't make it by about an inch and a half.

I'm sure the Fly wouldn't fit because it is a taller scoot.
I should try the Schwinn sometime when I have the time.

If you join the AMA ($30) and then sign up for the MoTow service (like an extra $20 or something) then they'll haul your scoot/motorcycle up to 25 miles to the nearest shop for nothing. And that's a roadside assistance service, so it's relatively quick and fairly easy. I'm a member of AMA anyway, so the extra little bit of cash seemed a no-brainer.

Also, the more scooterists join the AMA the more likely they are to stop ignoring the fact that a decent percentage of their membership are scooterists.

Is there a kevlar drive belt option for Schwinn's (or T'NG's)? As long as you're in there anyhow...

A Kevlar belt would out last the rest of the scooter.

See I told ya. And sure $50 is a deal for a professional but people are so darn nice in the scooter community.

Ya, I've hauled plenty of peoples scooters for nothing (not even a beer). No one likes, "I told you so"s. Second only to cheapskates (not to be confused with the poor).

double post, because our computer is doing some really funky stuff.

BTW, our harddrive was just in for repairs also.

The dog laid down on what I thought was my last coat of varnish on the kitchen floor.

I found out this morning that the camping trip with my 3rd grader with his school, that I was supposed help chaperone, that I signed up for last fall, that I took the night off of work for, I don't get to go because there is no space for me, my name was not included when they were planning the cabin assignment.

I can feel a bad cold coming on and the Yin Chao is not helping.

I had to deal with a looney in a wheelchair at work on Sunday who pulled his pants down and I saw way more than I needed to. So did alot of our customer because it was right outside our entrance/exit doors. After calling 911 3 times to get the cops here, they FIANLLY show up and just tell him to move along. Excuse me! He just flashed everybody AND assulted my co-workers!

Sorry for the bitch session. It's been quite a week!

Bad weeks were one of the main contibutors to my return to scooting.

No matter how much crap falls on my at the office, I'm still smiling when I ride home on a scoot. If it's a REALLY bad day - a spin around one of the many parkways, and the smile is back.

Maybe you can borrow the Fly....
