I am pretty much up for anything as log as it involves scootering. :-) I haven't been to Ely, so that is cool also.

It's still all talk, looks like about a 1/2 dozen going 9/8-10

Are you coming along? It's a hoot.

Baby, you know I still love you; but I need the authentic Planes, Trains, and Automobiles moment, you know?

Hope that link works.

We talked a little bit about radios last night, and in doing a little research it seems pretty simple. If anyone has an FRS radio and headset, I'll be bringing a set and we can choose a common channel. Obviously this is optional, just might be fun to be able to [strike]annoy[/strike] chat while we ride. Or at the very least, communicate.

The link above shows a headset for $15 and a set of two radios for $25. Or more for either if you're so inclined. It's a standard, so you can get them almost anywhere. (Yeah, yeah, they're not the highest quality devices, but we'll be close to one another so range shouldn't be an issue)

Hey doesn't Michelle get some sort of employee discount? :)

Great! How am I supposed to smoke with one hand and F with the radio with the other?

Oh yeah, you need VOX or the headset. And put the "speak" button somewhere you can clench. Like your teeth. Or wherever. :)

If somebody else gets a pair I'll gladly use their second radio - I'll even buy a headset. But I'm not going to plunk down cash for the radios as I can't imagine anything other than this ride when I'd use it.

I have two radio's, but they don't have that VOX option. I could still bring them along just to listen to the chatter if other's decide to purchase the radios? It might be good to have so that we can signal or speak to the person in front to move to a single file line or pull over when car's are starting to pile up behind us ?
