So do those of you with electric starts generally lock your scooters when parked for an hour or so?

I've always locked my scoot up unless I'm in a big group or I can see it. I pressed a button to start a scooter for the first time yesterday...seems really unnatural to me....anyway, just wondering if it reduces the need to be paranoid that somebody will run off with it.

And by the way Stephen & Ed, you were right about the brakes....scary!

Always lock, it can still be kick-started or picked up and thrown in a truck...

So far I've just locked the steering column when I'm parked on the street.

I am right around the corner (from your office not from Jeremy's butt). I don't worry about parking at work - I can park inside the shop, or right outside the receptionist's window (she's promised to kick the ass of anybody who tries to touch my scooter).

The only reason I asked is because my lock is in the glovebox of the Allstate which is currently on holiday in Derrick's garage and I wanted to go to appointments today. I'd feel extreme guilt if it got stolen before Dan could even ride it. Everything else just seems so fancy and new fangled, I was hoping for some reason it would also be harder to steal.

Glad I held on to my old-school bike locks....

It must not have been stolen because as I was sitting in my car reading the paper at about 12:30p today, what speeds by me along 5th Ave NE in New Brighton but an Atomic Fireball with a lovely young lady at the controls! I started the car to head after her, but she was too swift!

You should have followed me to Beiswingers (the best hardware store in the UNIVERSE) and said hello.

Silly question - why were you sitting in your car reading the paper on the street where I work? Did you suddenly become a cop or a fireman?

I had ended a delivery run in the vicinity and was waiting for the next one.

Too bad, your blue hair would look great in one of those shiny red trucks!
