Sorry if this is a little off topic, just had to share -

Recently returned home from a great trip to Switzerland & Italy where I saw so many cool scooters & motor bikes. Even got to ride a couple.

Why is it this is the one I really wanted to bring home?

Some sort of Moto Guzzi utility vehicle from the early 60's (?). Spotted in a public garden near Bellagio, still earning it's keep everyday.

Regretfully, no. At the time I just snapped the one & moved on to all the other wonderful sights, sounds, smells of the surroundings.

I do have it in much higher res where a lot more detail can be seen. If you want to see it I could email, it's over a meg. Send me your address.

That thing is sweet! Looks like it would kick an Ape or Lambro's ass with those big wheels...

That is cool!

At first I just thought "oh another one of those little truck things they all seem to love" until I realized it's actually a motorcycle with the world's largest fairing. Sweet!

Y'all seemed to like that one so much...

I saw this in Amsterdam - where we were stranded for a day, thanks to Northwest/KLM.

Not nearly as cool but odd just the same. I tried to imagine driving it with a load on (the cycle, not the rider). This one appears purpose-built but saw another one converted from a Kawi 400. Really goofy steering linkage from the handlebars to the wheels

Because of Amsterdam's reputation, I was a little surprised at how uptight the citizens seemed to be. Maybe there's not enough space cake to go around.

Everything was expensive, too. I called the front desk of our hotel & asked them to call a cab for us. They informed me they charge 3 euro fee for that service. I said no thanks, I call one myself. Then I found there was no phone book in the room & ended up having the hotel call and charge me the fee. Bastards.

Then again I was only there less than 24 hours. My impressions may be wrong. It was a beautiful city to walk around.
