A friend (if you can call him that) has bought his helmet and gotten his MC endorsement. Great. However, he doesn't have his scooter yet. He is thinking of the Buddy 125, the People 150 and also likes the Bet & Win. He is open to other suggestions too.
It is his first scooter, and he is a derelict. He can't figure out how to register on here to post a question, so please feel free to offer your replies to this post, and feel free to e-mail him directly at:
Grazie!

The only think I don't really like about the Buddy is the name. |

You would have to get the B&W used if you want one of those. I would say that the People 150 is the best all around bike. |

Man, what is up with these moped/auto-scooter companies and these dreadful names they choose? The "People" was bad enough. At least you didn't have to ride your "Buddy". Now there's a "Bet & Win"? Does someone actually get paid to come up with these? Maybe they sound great in Chinese, but there's something lost in the translation. |

I really like Susan's Buddy 125. It's quick, nimble and has great brakes.
My only serious complaint is with the suspension. They ride pretty rough--a night with Chris's mom and a picture of Mojitos kinda rough.
The first time I rode the People 150 I fell in love with it. Plenty of get up 'n go, and a decent riding position. I thought it would make the perfect commuter scoot. And then Kymco introduced the People 200S. Me likey.
Buddy vs. People. Tough call. Both are easy to ride and both would be a good first bike. I really like the stability of the People with its larger wheels.
If budget's an issue, go with the Buddy. Also, check out www.modernbuddy.com which has a lot of info on it.

The answer..... Is a Black Buddy 125. Bought from a super nice lady in St. Paul. Looks and rides like brand new.
I'm looking forward to Exploring with my new ride.
Thanks for all your help!! |

I agree with nate. Buy the Black Buddy 125 for sale from that really nice guy done in Jordan. I rode it all the way up from Jordan for a TNR one night, not a problem. The B125 is a great scooter.
I'm surprised I still have it. At $2k I thought it'd be gone a long time ago. |

At 2 grand, I'm surprised you still have it. Someone will get a good deal.
