There's plenty of reasons to bash the Vintage elitist jerks!

A. They're elitist!
B. They're jerks!
C. They smell like lawnmowers!
D. They're jackasses on the interwebs!

Don't be so touchy, mr. "Elitist jerk".

I thought it was only Jeff that smells like a lawnmower.

Thanks KennyLibido for throwing some REVIVAL energy at one of my favorite events gone by. I have some great memories of those SUNDAY RIDES and I'll be one of the first to show up for doing it again.

Obviously things petered out last year, probably as part of the natural rhythm of things to expand and contract. Perhaps now it's swinging up.

Since the rally takes up the 19th of August, those who want to ride can show up the next Sunday, August 26th, same place, same time. Beers, snacks and then a good ride. We can throw out more details as the time comes around.

That's it. Now you've thrown down the gauntlet. If you, Mr. Matt, ride the plurimatic, I will go down to a sunday ride. No promises of vintage, but it could happen. I wouldn't expect Will to wear the clown outfit, but at least the deer antler hockey helmet. If I go, I'll wear a cowboy hat. How's that for a double dog dare for ya. (JB, don't get any dawn patrol ideas involved in this dare bargain, even though I do get up before noon nowadays.).

CODPIECES for every man! (Every woman is on their own)
When the "double dog dares" come out, well, ya havta do it, right?

And, FYI, that ain't no "clown suit". Clowns are scary.

(I never have understood people who wear clothes that you could wear to, oh, say, a summer service at an Evangelical Church when they are ON A SCOOTER! What's with that? I just came from the rally preview and there was all this BILL GATES attire!!!)

Aw, let us pick and choose the points of post-war British socio-economic hangups that we want to. Why do you have to be getting us DOWN, old man?

I heard this awesome new song by some band the other day that sums it up:

People try to put us down
Just because we dress up in suits and ride around on scooters
Things they do look awful cold
I hope I die before I wear a polkadotted jumpsuit

Hey there sailor, I still own a pair of assless chaps.

Back to topic, I would really love a revival of the Sunday rides. There's a lotta cool scoots that I've never seen because I got into the scooter scene a bit late.

August 26th is the Wheels Of Italy event. So I will throw down the gauntlet yet again. Bring your mount to WOI, and then ride the short distance (hell, even a Lambretta can make it that far) to Luce for a proper Sunday ride.

This could be a lot of fun.
