anyone know of a tire cleaning product that's especially good for white sidewalls? or are they all the same...

my white sidewalls are kind of more like tan sidewalls right now...

some of the do it yourself carwash places have a product that works well in their vending machines. It looks like steel wool with some cleaner on it, trick is to get it wet but not too wet, scrub and rinse. I used them alot on my old '68 galaxie 500's whities.

Wesley's whitewall cleaner. White bottle with red label and available at lots of places. Been using the stuff for years. I'd also recommend a nylon-type scrub brush (look in the home cleaning supplies section.)
Be sure to put on your sunglasses when your done tho--they WILL be white!

Shout works great. (Sorry Derrick, hope that wasn't a secret).

Nope. No secret.

I use Shout for everything. Even degreasing engines. It's not as heavy duty as Gunk but it doesn't smell bad and it works pretty good on most dirt and grease.

I, too, use Westley's Bleche-Wite, even if they can't spell.

Here's a link if you want to see a picture of the bottle: http://westleys.com/

Goof-Off works great but who knows what it does to your tires...
