I'm in need of a thrust washer for my rebuild.
This washer fits between the clutch drive gear and the clutch side oil seal on older large frames. Mine is a 1964 VNB, not sure what other years had them. It is about the size of a 50 cent piece with a slightly slanted inner shoulder. Does anybody have one new or used? I've tried the usual sources but no one seems to have any. I managed to crack the old one while pulling a bearing into place. Any help is appreciated, this is holding up my whole friggin project.
Scooterworks part # 48834. (Website wrong, not in stock) |

Did you try Vespa Motorsports? I used one from them about a month ago. |

Derrick,
Thanks for the tip!
They are going top throw one in the mail tonight for me.
I tried three other suppliers and no one had it. Now I can get this sucker back together. Thanks again. |

I've been shopping at scooter works since they opened their doors around 1990. They used to be somewhat local where I was growing up in SE Wisconsin. I'll still give them a try first, but I think this motorsports place is probably second on the list now. They seem good and came through in a pinch. I just got an order today that I placed on 7/20 from another place. Talk about bad service. |

Vespa west or vespa motor sport is THE place for the correct parts. Sure you may pay a little more but the order will be correct and the parts of a higher quality. Most other places will back order your stuff and not even tell you, or send the wrong parts. Most frustrating. |

Vespa Motorsport IS the best.
The best tip for vintage Vespas? Get Teflon lined complete cables sets from Motorsport. They make each set to the exact diameter and length as the originals. So, they fit right in without any modifications and they are SO Smooth! Ya, they may cost some more then other shops but so what. The others don't even come close. Period! |

Anybody have any spare rear axles kicking around?
My original has stripped teeth, and the replacement I received from scooterworks was for a sprint with the later enclosed style flywheel side bearing. No, vespa motorsports didn't have one either.
In fact I'm not sure if they are still being manufactured. Seems like the newer ones with the enclosed bearing were used late 60's on.
I think some of the older largframe axles that used rollerbearings are interchangeable, however some use a 15 and some use a 14 roller bearing. I have both bearings on hand, so let me know what you have. Again, this is for a 1964 vnb 125 4 speed.
