The ratios might be backwards, but close enough.

I like the ideas coming out, esp. those that allow for this rally to build its own identity.

Keep them coming, I'll post an official poll tomorrow afternoon.

Maybe I should post a pole though, depending on the type of entertainment.

Lisa, here's my two cents.

If you are going to organize it, you should decide what it will be called and how it will be done.

Someone will always think you should do it differently. So don't try and please everyone. It can't be done and it will just piss some people off no matter what.

It's O.K. to get ideas from others but you need to set down the "law" and make the choices yourself.

I lost interest it Scooter Du when it got too big and we began pandering to different groups in the scooter world. Everyone wanted something different and the rally lost all meaning IMHO. People got all pissy about it. (Myself included) I am NOT trying to tell you how to run your rally. You may prefer to have an all inclusive rally (most people do). That's O.K. The point I am making is you have to be prepared to stick it out and have a clear vison of what you want to achive. If you truly want to run next years rally make it "your" rally. Whatever that is.

If there's no hurry, why not wait to take your poll? More good ideas will come out.

I appreciate your using a poll to gauge interest, but as Derrick stated, the name should ultimately be your choice. Don't let other's opinions make you settle on somthing you don't think is right.

Don't worry, I won't in the end agree to something I can't stand to look at until next August. I just know there are folk out there that are more creative than I am, so I'm hoping there are lots of ideas to choose from. Having a bunch of people excited about it wouldn't hurt either.

The reason for the quick deicision is that I'm not into indecision. I'm an action girl, a little obsessive about planning and organization (NOT including my garage however so quit laughing), and I've got way too many things on my plate to procrastinate.

Actually, I think it's more like 10 months of labor ending in a few days of fun. Oh wait. It's all fun! FUN FUN FUN!

Speaking of which, I'm thinking of having a meeting to just kick things off (yes, it's early) sometime at the end of October, early November.

Tuesday nights are perfect for me as it's my kids' night to hang out with grandparents, so I'm hoping the weather will suck by then so that others will join me. Otherwise, I'll just sit at the Chatterbox and drink alone, or with other people with crappy scoots that don't run.

More news later.

Oh, Thanks

Yellow, Ital, AND underline. HA!

top that Amy!

Isn't it a few minutes of fun ending in 9 months of work and a few weeks of labor?

I was thinking that the rally could just be for Asian Restos and it could be called the "Shiny Turd Rally".

Or, it could be Du Dog Du!
